Under general supervision of the Aquatic Nuisance Species/Aquaculture Program Manager, provides professional assistance to implement fisheries resources programs, working independently or as part of a work unit, for the prevention and management of ANS transfer between the designated area of the Great Lakes and Mississippi River basins through the Chicago Waterway System and the statewide implementation of the Illinois Comprehensive Aquatic Invasive Species Plan.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a bachelor's degree in Fisheries, Fish Culture, Microbiology or closely related biological field supplemented by one year of directly related professional experience. Requires an IL Pesticide Applicator's license. Requires ability to understand both written and verbal instruction. Requires ability to work under adverse environmental conditions; requires ability to lift loads that exceed 60 lbs; requires ability to traverse rough and broken terrain on foot without mechanical assistance to use various equipment and to negotiate a variety of natural obstacles while, using, carrying or otherwise transporting a variety of equipment. Requires competency in use of computers. Requires possession of a valid Illinois driver's license. Requires ability to travel.

Anticipated Starting Salary: $3817-$4167
Current bargaining unit employees: CBA language applies
Full Bargaining Unit Range: $3817-$5601 per month
WORK HOURS
Monday – Friday, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, 1/2-hour lunch, Saturday & Sunday off
