Description of Duties/Essential Functions

Under general supervision of the Region Administrator, as the District Fisheries Biologist, administers, manages and implements the Division's fisheries resource programs for inland lakes of assigned counties in Region 2.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires knowledge, skill and mental ability equivalent to a master's degree in fisheries or a related biological, life or natural science; or requires a bachelor's degree in the field supplemented by two years of directly related professional experience. Requires possession of a valid Illinois driver's license. Requires ability to obtain an Illinois Aquatic Pest Control Applicator's Certification. Requires ability to understand both written and verbal instruction. Requires ability to work under adverse environmental conditions. Requires good health for physically demanding work.

Work Hours & Location/Agency Contact:

Anticipated Starting Salary: $4402-$4809
Current bargaining unit employees: CBA language applies
Full Bargaining Unit Range: $4402-$6581 per month

Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., ½-hour lunch, Saturday & Sunday off
